Vox ultrasonic or XII, was made in Italy E.M.E V275. (Elettronica Musicale Europea) factory in Recanati, guitars, shipping in mid-1967, and at least a majority of the year 1968. They were still on the list of price list in 1970, Vox, even if the price is considerably reduced.
Ultrasonic XII was one of a few of the 12-string Acoustics trailer available in the late 1960s. Gibson ES-335TD had offered-12 (as well as Epiphone Riviera 12), the Fender Coronado XII, and there was, of course, the number of the Rickenbacker 12-string, but this (with Vox Starstream-XII) was perhaps the built-in electronic effects, available only in the model.

Functionally, this guitar is the same as the six string counterpart; built-in effects are the same (6-string ultrasonic sound clips to listen), and both versions were equipped with the same Ferro-Sonic Shuttle, controls, and vibrato tailpiece.
One difference between the string, the extra six Ultrasonics strings and that is required for mounting format. This raised (above left), one is a little straighter edge, the bottom edge of the larger and less intricate Vox motif flower design as the six string (bottom left).
